Neighbor Village Radio 87.7 FM is a barangay community radio station for public services. It is a small community in Bacoor City, Cavite, Philippines.
Neighbor Village Radio 87.7 FM (frequency modulation) is a public service non-commercial local community radio station with the frequency of 87.7 and with the power of 7 watts. This public service non-commercial local community radio station has a slogan or tagline of "Moving Forward" and it is owned and operated by a national community-based people's initiative in Molino 1 in cooperation with barangay chairman.
Neighbor Village Radio 87.7 FM aims to provide public service announcements of barangay, municipal and community activities and good news, those have something to do with community building and development and entertain its listeners through variety of music. Purposely, this radio was built to support all the community-based development programs of the government which were only reached the target beneficiaries, like the community-driven development project backed by the World Bank for the Philippines in 2002. The project helps poor communities develop the necessary skills and provides them with resources. It also gives poor people a voice in the development process by establishing clear guidelines for participation, accountability and transparency and our Neighbor Village Radio 87.7 FM is our voice that should be heard. Through this radio, our community will also learn how to engage our local government more effectively in mobilizing technical and financial assistance as well as support that help address local development priorities.
